The site, currently home to multiple dwellings, will be cleared to accommodate the project. The mixed-use development will introduce new retail spaces. It will enhance the Macarthur Avenue precinct. A publicly accessible cross-block link is also planned. This will improve the pedestrian access and connectivity within the area.

The development application was lodged on 20 January 2025. Currently, it is under review by the relevant authorities. If the development is approved, 260 Macarthur Avenue will become a key residential and retail hub in Hamilton.
